DR. LARI C. YOUNG, MD
Dr. Young received her Medical Degree from the University of Vermont School of Medicine as well as a Master’s Degree in Outcomes Research from Dartmouth College. Prior to medical school, she spent the first decade of her career in cardiovascular research at Massachusetts General Hospital with a focus on measuring and analyzing patient outcomes.
In addition to residency training and a post-doctoral fellowship in Integrative Medicine at Wake Forest University, Dr. Young trained in medical acupuncture and functional medicine through the Helms Medical Institute and the Institute of Functional Medicine. Her passion for holistic healing and bridging the gap between conventional and alternative wellness therapies led her to open her first private practice in 2012, now known as THRIVE Integrated Health.
Dr. Young utilizes a functional medical approach to address the root causes of chronic illness and other wellness issues. She employs a mind-body-spirit approach and emphasizes the importance of patients taking an active role in improving and maintaining their health.
DEEDEE HARRINGTON, CHHC
Certified Holistic Health Coach, Physician Liaison
As the Certified Holistic Health Coach for Thrive Integrated Health, DeeDee assists patients with their physician-prescribed nutritional and detox programs. In her role as Physician Liaison, she assures that each patient’s functional diagnostic and treatment protocols are implemented as intended by Dr. Young and strategically guides patients through their individualized wellness programs.
DeeDee graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition with her certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and has completed her Life Coaching training at the Martha Beck Institute.
DeeDee’s personal healing journey inspired her passion for coaching others to optimal health. As she worked through her own weight and allergy issues, she discovered that “it wasn’t about the weight but about being, feeling and living a vital, healthy life.” Before joining Thrive Integrated Health, DeeDee served as operations coordinator and innkeeper for the Self-Discovery Center in Atlanta, GA, a facility that provides space for wellness practitioners and therapists, and holistic health focused workshops and classes.
SYLVIA BOGNAR, L. Ac., MSOM
Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist
Sylvia is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. Her first acupuncture treatment in 2009 was a life changing experience which triggered her desire to learn more about her newly found passion. In 2010 she was accepted in the master’s program at Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA. She completed her education and 850 clinical internship hours at Dongguk University Los Angeles, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine.
Imbalances in our bodies are the root of most health issues. As a healthcare practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sylvia uses a holistic and integrative approach to uncover the root cause of an ailment. Her treatment course is personally specialized to help strengthen and fortify each patient in their healing process.
Sylvia’s clinical interests include pain management, stress and mood disorders, healthy aging, sleep disorders, digestive disorders, eye health, strengthening the immune system, and personalized herbal therapy and nutritional counseling. She is dedicated to helping her patients regain and maintain complete and total health, with an emphasis on prevention and wellness.
PATTI SPRINKLE, LMBT, NMT
Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, Neuromuscular Therapist
Patti is a North Carolina foothills native raised in King. In 1997 she moved to Florida to attend Florida College of Natural Health. It is here that she discovered her passion for healing. She then began studying and specializing in St. John Neuromuscular Therapy. Patti graduated 1998 and continued attending St. John seminars until she was able to treat the entire body with neuromuscular therapy techniques.
Patti has provided her services to several prestigious local establishments as well as her private practice since 2003. She also continues her studies with Margie Meshew in Thai massage.

Carly Sink obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has earned a Clinical Aromatherapy certification through East-West School of Herbal and Aromatic Studies and is also a certified 200hr RYT Yoga Teacher in MindBody Centering Yoga through Global Breath studio in Durham, NC. She is a Certified Natural Health Professional and also holds certifications in Reiki 1 and 2.
In her mid-20s Carly worked in biotechnology sales (Heart Rate Variability, Crystal/Light Therapy, and Body-Scanning). This experience allowed her to learn in-depth about the energetic body and how to balance it. She uses several technologically advanced devices as well as natural healing methods such as crystals, sound, and mind-body connection. She has integrated many of these modalities into her own life as a result of using them to solve her own severe health challenges. She is excited to share her knowledge as well as learn about various healing modalities from others, always keeping an open mind and heart.

Jordan is an aesthetician who is passionate about all things related to health and skin. A graduate of the University of South Carolina and Leon’s Beauty School, she has a background in skincare treatments such as microdermabrasion, waxing, LED light therapy, dermaplaning, and medical grade chemical peels. Aiming to treat skin imbalances from the inside out, rather than masking symptoms, she customizes a regime suited for your skincare needs. Jordan prioritizes continuing education to offer up to date treatments in order to deliver the most result driven services possible. With a strong focus on whole body health and skincare, she strives to lead a life of balance while helping others do the same.
